More than 100 Hawaii firms across the islands were nominated by participating sponsors for regional recognition as part of the Hawaii Business Magazine 2010 SmallBiz Success Awards. The Parker Group, Inc. was selected as one of three finalists in the Innovation category by a select group of judges comprised of small business advocates from Aloha United Way, the University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business, Hawaii Business Magazine, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, the U.S. Commercial Services Hawaii Export Assistance Center, HANO Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, Hawaiian Host, and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. Winners were announced at the 2010 SmallBiz Awards Event on January 27, 2010 at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. Awardees’ businesses were then highlighted in the February 2010 issue of the Hawaii Business Magazine. The 2010 overall winner for Innovation was Sopogy, Inc. of Maui.
